What transportation methods will I use with the guide in Japan?

All travels are made walking or by public transportations only. Keikaku’s guide are not allowed to drive visitors around (by car, bus, etc.).

We suggest travelers to wear comfortable shoes to make the walk easier (avoid heeled shoes).

In cities, it is also possible to ride a taxi between each place to visit or even rent one for the day (about ¥5,000 to ¥7,000 / ~$35 to ~$50 per hour), with any additional charges to your expense.

Please inform the guide at the earliest if you will be driving a rental car or would like to visit by bicycle. Note however that the guide can refuse to use such transportation methods.

The round trip travel time to cities other than Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka (for example when visiting Nara from Kyoto or Osaka or Hakone from Tokyo) are included in the total length of the One day tour. That is why the length of the tour is 10h for those destinations, instead of 8h.
