  • The preparation of your tour in Koya-san by the guide, according to your preferences
  • Reservation fee (no additional administration fee or tips)
  • The guides’ personal expenses:
    • Their full transportation fees (to the meeting place and during the tour)
    • Their lunch up to ¥1,000 (~$7) per meal
    • Their admission fee up to ¥1,500 (~$10) per day
But do not include
  • Your own personal expenses (transportation, meal, admission fee, etc.)
  • Transportation fees: ¥3,400 (~$24) per person for a 2-days all included pass from Osaka-Namba (not covered by the JR Pass)

Additional information

The departure station for Koya-san is Namba (south Osaka), about 50 minutes from Kyoto station, with at least one transfer. The trip Osaka-Mount Koya is not covered by the JR Pass, you have to order a Koya-san Pass.

To make to most of your sightseeing day in Mount Koya, we recommended to:

  • Book an accommodation in Osaka to lessen transportation time;
  • Or wake up early to reach Namba at the earliest and enjoy the full day.

The guide will use the transportation time to answer your questions, give insights on Japan, and especially on Koya-san.

Keikaku does not provide 2 consecutive days guidance in Koya-san. Our travelers can naturally stay one night (or more) in one of the temples in the mountain. In such case, the guide will provide all necessary information during the preparation before the tour and will leave at the end of the day.
