Where can I exchange the JRP Voucher in Japan?

When ordering a JR Pass, you will receive two non-transferable, nominative vouchers: the “Passenger” voucher is for you to keep, and the “Exchange” Voucher is to be exchanged in a JR Office in Japan for the JR Pass.

The exchange operation can be performed in all the airports and the bigger train stations in Japan. All these places have JR Offices where it is possible to start the JR Pass.

When ordering a JR Pass with Keikaku, you will receive a document including:

• A list of JR Pass exchange offices in airports, stations, in Tokyo and in Japan;
• As well as access maps to the main JR Pass exchange Offices in Japan: in Narita, Haneda or Kansai airports, in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, etc.

If you want to exchange your JR Pass upon arrival at the airport, be aware of the exchange offices’ closing times:

• Tokyo-Narita: 7 p.m. (Terminal 1) or 8 p.m. (Terminal 2)
• Tokyo-Haneda: 6:30 p.m.
• Osaka-Kansai: 11 p.m.
